Idaho's rich winter sports tradition began long ago and continues today. Idaho is home to the U.S.'s first destination ski resort in Sun Valley and its newest, Tamarack. With 18 ski resorts, world-class halfpipes, incredible Nordic trails, state-of-the-art ice rinks and other outstanding facilities, Idaho is a winter sports haven. In fact, nearly 10 percent of the athletes who competed in the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City trained or participated in a pre or post event in Idaho.
Make the most of this opportunity and consider training in Idaho in preparation for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.
