Information
Davis Creek is a small stream near Donnelly, ID. It once flowed into the Gold Fork River, but now helps farmers irrigate their fields in the surrounding Donnelly area.
Named after David Davis, a homesteader in the area who later sold his property to Gina Davis's (winemaker) grandfather, Gilbert Davis (the two men were unrelated). Gilbert then began a life of farming and ranching on the property growing dried peas, seed potatoes, cattle, and sheep. He also maintained a farm in Caldwell giving Gina's family long time association in both valleys.
Davis Creek features Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, Syrah, Chardonnay, Malbec, Viognier and several others. Reds are fermented in small batches, and then aged in French and/or American oak barrels. Whites are all cool fermented to preserve crispness.
