Information
Ball Creek Ranch, purchased in 2000, includes four miles of Kootenai River frontage, two tributaries to the river, a wetland pond, and 200 acres of riparian habitat. The Conservancy allows a variety of uses including wildlife habitat, public recreation, farming, and cattle ranching. Activities in the area include bird and wildlife watching, hiking, hunting, canoeing and kayaking, fly-fishing, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
