Information
The Ashton hatchery was originally constructed in 1920 and produces over 165,000 rainbow trout for stocking in the Upper Snake region as well as over 389,000 fingerling fishes of 10 different species for statewide use including rainbow trout, brook trout, brown trout, golden trout, grayling, and Kamloops rainbow trout. Visitors can see and feed fish up to ten pounds in the viewing pond. Group tours can be arranged.
