Redfish Lake, in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, is named for the brilliant Sockeye Salmon that once came to spawn in such massive quantities that the lake appeared red. The visitor center offers a variety of interpretive activities and evening programs, including exhibits about the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, geology, history and wildlife.
