Information
The Henrys Fork of the Snake River was named for Andrew Henry, a fur trader who first saw it in 1810. Acclaimed by fly fishing enthusiasts as the best trout fishing stream in the United States, it begins at Big Springs, winds through Harriman State Park, all the way down to Ashton, where it joins the Snake River. Outfitters are available to guide you and teach fly fishing on the Henrys Fork. Spectacular Upper and Lower Mesa Falls are on the Henrys Fork. Grizzly bears are returning to portions of the area so users should be bear smart and carry bear spray. To learn more about all aspects of bears, vist IGBConline.org.
