There are numerous Nordic ski trails in the Ashton area, including Bear Gulch and Fall River Ridge. Many are Idaho Park 'N Ski areas, a program of the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation. A Park 'N Ski pass is required to park at the trailhead. Contact the Ashton/Island Park Ranger District for maps and information.
