Do you love snow? Do you want to immerse yourself in the unique beauty and wonder of the winter wilderness? Are you looking for the next level of challenge in winter recreation? NOLS Teton Valley offers two and three week winter backcountry skiing and snowboarding expeditions in the spectacular Teton and Snake River Ranges of eastern Idaho and western Wyoming. Students learn to live comfortably in the winter environment and travel responsibly through avalanche terrain. Backcountry telemark or snowboarding technique is a focus of every course so you can expect to gain skills and experience the joy of backcountry powder on slopes far from any roads.
