Miles of driving trails through the Great Cedar Grove; Contuinuing up the Upper Basin Road - 11 Miles from Elk River is the Giant Cedar Tree -- 177 ft tall, 18 foot in diameter and approximatedly 3,000 years old. This is a gentle paved path. At the trailhead there is a picnic area and restrooms at the parking lot. These are for summer viewing only -- In the winter the road is closed to automobiles because it is part the snowmobile trail system
