Location: Southwestern Idaho, N. of Weiser
Directions: From Cambridge, take Hwy. 71 NW for 20 mi. to Brownlee Reservoir. Boat access to Brownlee is at Woodhead Park. Oxbow Reservoir is 9 miles further on Hwy. 71, which ends near the Oxbow Dam. Cross the river again and continue on Forest Road 454 along Hells

Information

The Snake River flows for 70 miles through three reservoirs before dropping into Hells Canyon, the deepest canyon in North America. The reservoirs are flanked by sagebrush and bitterbrush shrub steppe and surrounded by scattered ponderosa pine and Douglas-fir trees. Boating, camping and fishing are the popular activities. Jet boat and rafting trips are available on the Snake River from Hells Canyon Dam.
