Directions: From Stanley, take Hwy. 75 south to the Redfish Lake turnoff, and follow the signs to to the lodge. The trailhead begins on the east side of Redfish Lake

Information

The Bench Lakes, a group of four lakes in the Sawtooth mountains, are a good day hike just above Redfish Lake. Trail length is 8 mi. round trip with moderate to difficult sections. The trail takes you first along Redfish Lake and winds up the mountain just below Mount Heyburn, which towers above the lake at 10,229 feet. Campsites are available at Redfish Lake.
