On May 25th, 2013, “AmeriCorps" "Veterans Serving Veterans" of the Treasure Valley, is hosting a Day at the Boise Zoo for members of the Idaho State Veterans Home. We are extending this invitation to the community at large for Volunteers to share time with these Veterans.
This is a planned family event starting with the arrival of the Veterans at about 10:00am. Volunteers are encouraged to interact with these Veterans and escort them through Zoo Boise.
A picnic lunch is planned from noon until 2pm at which time we will dismiss.
This is Memorial Day Event, Join us to be part of the Celebration to Honor all Veterans and family members.
