Hells Canyon Winery is an ultra premium boutique winery located in the beautiful Snake River Valley of Idaho. Our vineyards were founded in 1981 making them some of the oldest vineyards in Idaho. Our award winning wines are produced using grapes we grow in our vineyards, Chardonnay, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Total production is about 3000 cases per year.
Hells Canyon wines are made in the traditional manner of fermenting in small oak barrels. Steve Robertson trained as a chef, but realized he could raise grapes where the pheasants, quail, ducks and geese roam, he sold the restaurant and started making wine to go with the food instead. Hells Canyon wines reflect the character of the geography and are always made as food wines.
