The vines of Colter's Creek are nestled near the confluence of the Potlatch and Clearwater Rivers. The steep south facing slopes of the river canyon coupled with the cooling effects of the river make Colter's Creek the perfect site for growing premium grapes. Vines are hand-pruned, trained, and thinned to a level that optimizes grape quality, as only quality grapes can become fine wine. The mission of Colter's Creek Winery is to produce outstanding wine from local grapes, including both estate wines and wines sourced from other vineyards in the Lewis and Clark Valley. Our small, family-owned winery produces wine in small batches, from hand-picked fruit, using the care and gentle handling that only a small winery can attain.
