The road to the mining era town of Warren begins at Hwy. 55 on the west side of McCall and continues along past Payette Lake, Upper Payette Lake, Burgdorf Hot Springs to Warren. Burgdorf has a ghost town and a hot spring with a few very rustic cabins that can be rented. The road literally ends at Warren, located just west of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. This road is closed in winter. Heavy snowfall may delay opening dates by quite a bit, please check with local Ranger district for road conditions.
