Backwoods Adventures offers family adventures on the beautiful North Fork of the Payette River. This stretch of river is legendary for seeing moose, ospreys, great blue herons, golden and bald eagles. It was also the location for the filming of Northwest Passage in the 1950s. We are located 6 miles up the historical Warren Wagon Rd. at the mouth of Big Payette Lake and the Upper North Fork of the Payette River. We are in a non-motorized zone in Ponderosa State Park at the north end, offering you amazing paddling opportunities.

We also have standup board rentals
Fees
$10 for single kayaks per hour and $13 for tandem kayaks as well as canoes. Standup boards are $15. per hour. We offer evening paddles w/gourmet picnic baskets.
