The Hagerman National Fish Hatchery is located in the beautiful Thousand Springs area of the Snake River. It began operations in 1933 and has since expanded to more than 60 rearing tanks and 78 raceways. The hatchery produces more than 1.5 million steelhead each year that are released into the Salmon River. Rainbow trout are also raised here. Summer hosts and volunteers are always welcome with an RV Pad available for accomodations. Contact the hatchery to apply or schedule a group tour.
