Information

Deadwood is a 3000-acre, scenic high mountain reservoir with moderately easy access northwest of Boise. Hiking, boating, fishing and camping are the primary activities. Atlantic, chinook and kokanee salmon along with cutthroat and rainbow trout are caught here. In fact, the state record for an atlantic salmon was established at Deadwood Reservoir when a 13 lb., 4 oz. specimen was caught in 1995. Fishing is allowed year round but access is limited in winter.
