Information
The Clark Fork River begins near Butte, Montana and winds 340 miles through western Montana to northeastern Idaho, where it soon reaches its end at Lake Pend Oreille, the largest lake in Idaho. The Clark Fork River is a major spawning tributary for rainbow, cutthroat and Mackinaw. Outfitted trips are offered on this river beginning near Cabinet Gorge dam.
