The Yankee Fork Gold Dredge was used by miners near Custer and Bonanza in the 1940's. It now lies on display in Land of the Yankee Fork Historic Area. The State Park and National Forest Historic Area bring Idaho's frontier mining history to life. Managed by the Challis National Forest and the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation, and the Yankee Fork Gold Dredge Association, the dredge provides unique historical interpretation and numerous recreational opportunities. Dredge Tours, audio visual programs, a gift shop and friendly dredge personnel provide information on local mining history and area attractions.
