Information

Bonneville Point is the spot where Captain Bonneville stood overlooking the valley he named Les Bois, which came to be known as Boise. This is one of the places closest to Boise where you can see the Oregon Trail ruts and view the entire Boise Valley area. At this day-use site is a historical marker and interpretive displays. It is a great place for a picnic and some wildlife viewing, too.
