Interstate Highways

There are two major interstates that run through Idaho: I-84 in the southern part of the state and I-90 in northern Idaho, along with many state highways that can get you from north to south and all around.

Idaho Gateway Visitor Centers

Visitor information on area restaurants, shopping, lodging and activities can be found at any one of the state’s many visitor centers. Idaho offers three gateway visitor centers strategically located to serve you including Huetter Visitor Center on Interstate 90 as you enter from Washington into northern Idaho, Snake River View Visitor Center located on Interstate 84 as you enter southern Idaho from Oregon and Cherry Creek Visitor Center near Malad as you enter southeastern Idaho from Utah. 511 Service

Idaho has a new service available for travelers. 511 Service offers information on road conditions, road construction updates and weather, along with tourism information, state parks and recreation information, scenic byways and a historical marker guide. As you are traveling to or through Idaho, you can dial 511 and be connected with this service or online at www.511.idaho.gov.
